RIMAS
RIMAS, the Risk and Insurance Management Association of Singapore is a non-profit organisation founded in 1988 and dedicated to advancing the discipline and practice of risk management.
In 2024, I was invited to chair the formation of the Tax Risk Chapter, with a focus on identifying, managing, and mitigating tax-related risks faced by businesses operating in Singapore.
The Chapter addresses key areas such as compliance with tax regulations, the effective management of tax incentives, and navigating potential risks from evolving tax policies.
In addition, the Chapter also emphasizes the importance of maintaining transparent relationships with regulatory bodies, such as the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS), to proactively address emerging risks. Through sound tax risk management, organizations can mitigate financial risks, safeguard reputation, and enhance long-term resilience in a dynamic regulatory environment.
